Annual Book Sale
The Friends of Storrs Library (FOSL) cordially invites you to their annual Book Sale, which will take place on September 8, 9, and 10 at the Community House in Longmeadow. This coincides with the Long Meddowe Fall Festival, creating a wonderful opportunity for the community to participate. We deeply appreciate the ongoing support of the community, which has contributed to the tremendous success of this event over the years.
Mission
The Book Sale serves as the primary fundraising event for FOSL, and it has experienced remarkable growth over time. Last year was the most prosperous sale to date where we raised over $8,500. All funds generated from the Book Sale are dedicated to enhancing the library collection, supporting various programs, and furthering its role as a valuable community resource.
Donations
For those interested in donating books, kindly bring them to the Community House (735 Longmeadow St) from August 14th to September 1st, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours from 8 am to 4 pm. There will also be convenient Drive-Thru Drop-Off events on three consecutive Saturdays: August 12, 19, and 26, from 10 am to 2 pm.
